Nature-Based Health, Education & Research
Ham Green can be translated from the old English as Green Home and is a beautiful place of tranquility close to the river Avon in Bristol. It is the home of the Ham Green Nature-Based Education, Health and Research centre. This is comprised of Natural Academy, the Natural Institute and NatureWell Health services and Grenian Ecotherapy hub. It is also being managed as a space that supports nature, through conservation and rewilding projects, supporting the recovery of bio diversity and mitigation of the impact of climate change. The centre is based on the principles of One Health that states our personal health is a holistic process interdependent with our human communities and the natural world around us. Ham Green Centre is Set in 6 Acres of land, just outside Bristol, and is in a partnership with Ham Green House a purpose build retreat and holistic health centre with a further 4-acre wellbeing garden. Ham Green is the perfect accessible place for retreat, healing, restoration, nature connection and deep learning.
Nature & Health
We are running a new NatureWell programme in the tranquil and safe settings at Ham Green. NatureWell is an evidence based approach to nature connectedness for health which we have developed and are researching as an effective way to support peoples health and wellbeing. Natural Self Ecotherapy


Natural Self Ecotherapy (NSET) is a trauma-informed, nature-based therapy for individuals or groups seeking support in natural settings. It offers a safe, confidential space for healing, personal growth, and emotional wellbeing, where trained professional ecotherapists use nature experiences and therapeutic support to help you in what ever challenges you face.
